chalres dickens tale of two cities the jackal chapter 5 book 2?

i am doing a project about this chapter and im not having any luck in fully understanding what this chapter is about at all

i looked throught spark notes but i got a faint idea about what its about and con someone help me analyze the chapter
i dont understand it at all
i mean the analysis on sparknotes
i read the chapter a bunch of times but no luck
can you please help me
