Good philosophy books?

Does anyone have suggestions for some decent philosophy books? I'm relatively new to philosophy education and want something to ease me into the subject and inform me of the basics and then maybe suggestions for books to proceed on to???? Thanks

Try the book of "Ecclesiastes", it's in the old testament, of our bible.
King Solomon's philosophy is well thought out here. Try it, you might be surprised to know what is going on in that one book.

The Great Controversy
It helps to explain why so many different denominations as well us gives deep insight to other philosophical questions. Gives a brief history lesson then just starts in with really easy to understand thinking.

Well it really depends what your into, like if you want a straight up book i cant help but Animal Farm by George Orwell is a good book, and it focuses about socialism, and totalitarianism.

Yes i know many, that are my favourites:

Politic for Amador - Fernando Sabater
Etic for Amador - Fernando Sabater
The prince -Nicolas Maquiavelo
The Sophia´s World - I don´t remeber the autor
Sun Tzu - The art of war

Well, many of they are strategy books. I recomend specially the first, is like an introductory text to the politics, this book have a few of every politic school, the second is very good, again is a exelent introductory text about etic. The prince is a exelent diplomacy book and the art of war may complement it, hadling the part of the battle field, but as many analist tell, the strategy is used not only in war and many economical books are based in this tittle by sun tzu.
