What is the shortest book you've ever read? How many pages? Title and author...

...please? Childrens or adult? Not counting magazines like Reader's Digest. But, typical book, fiction and non fiction. Thanks.

Shortest RECENTLY would be Ella Enchanted (228) by Gail Carson Levine.

Tuck Everlasting, took me about four hours. I'd say it's a young adult book.

Amazon says it's 144 pages, but I swear it was shorter!

The author is Natalie Babbit.

Well, I'll exclude children's books - because those can be as short as five pages sometimes.

The shortest adult book for me would probably be Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. My version is 141 pages, but don't let the small size deceive you - there is a whole world to look at in that small novella.
