| Would you read my book based on the description? Risqué by: Damien M. Shepherd
Born into the affluent life of a “godly” lifestyle, Damien Risquette is the heir to his families two thriving empires in Real Estate and the Stock Market. But none of this was important to Damien, who cared more about the money. Whenever he had trouble with life, or wanted to escape, he’d spend money, which had become his only real friend. All others were sick and tired of his sour attitude. The stock market crashes in 2010, and leaves the nation, and parts of the world in what is called “the second depression.” Most severely hit is the Risquettes, who suffer in both of their empires, as home prices plunge to all-time lows. With money dwindling, and tempers from the families rivals raging, they are forced to abandon the empire that had fulfilled their worry’s and kept them “grounded” as Damien explained it. Now, Damien whom has lost his single companion is forced to learn the lesson that money is not all there is in life. Much of the greatest perks life has to offer are found within ourselves, not in our bank accounts. Learning the hard way, but still learning Damien meets people who impact him for the better, but ultimately it is himself whom will decide whether he will remain sullen about his families new lifestyle, or learn to accept and in turn be accepted. Together, or the alone the Risquettes will need to know that in life, you either sink or swim. For in reality, there is no life vest to grab hold of. Its you, your morals, and most importantly your loved ones. |
