What are the rules about mentioning famous people in books?

I am wriring a scene where there is a 'red carpet' moment. Is there any problems or issues with mentioning modern day actors / actresses in the scene?
No, I'm not going to say anthing bad about them, just that they were 'there' to set the scene.
