I have two long books to read in one week! What do I do?

During spring break i was supposed to read two books. Gathering of old Men and To Kill a Mocking Bird. I decided not to start them until NOW! I thought i would be able to read fast but it is soooo much harder than I thought! Any sugestions? Sparknotes is awesome but it doesnt give all of the information and I will have to read it sooner or later!
