To white people-Have you read any books by black authors? If so, what books?

I see and hear people regurgitating stereotypes about black people. I want to know what you know about the positive aspects of black culture, beyond rap and dancing.

When i pick up a book to read i do not look at the skin color of the author but i did read a book written by a black woman it was called like The perfect man or something but it was too sexual and i didn't finish it up. However, i must say it was well written and thats why i read like 120 pages of it but the content didn't do it for me.
