Anyone know of a good book I can read?

I am a high school senior, I haven't been doing much reading, I aviod it as much as possible. My vocabulary is suffering because of this, and I'm not much of a writer either.

Anyone know of a interesting/good book (no plays please) that uses/has imagery, motifs, and symbolic things that are used to represent stuff. Sort of like the Great Gatsby. A book that is basically rich in language and vocabulary. Thanks
