Do you think botany is a respected biological science? At my university, Botany was relabeled Plant Science or Plant Physiology. If it is not considered a respected biological science, it well should be.You hear about Cellular Physiologists, how they have discovered the Kreb's/Citric Acid cycle that allows us to create ATP / Energy. What about the Calvin's Cycle for plants?Understanding plants is just as important as understanding animals. The more we learn about the physiologies about both plants and animals, the more we can treat diseases and increase production. Without plants, animals would not exist, and under that foundation, I believe that it is a respected science

Do you think botany is a respected biological science? Absolutely, the anatomy and physiology of plants dives deep into the intricacies of nature. Plants are living organisms that live and thrive on very little in comparison to humans and animals. By studying their cells and life cycles we can learn great amounts about the world around us. Not to mention, the potential for medicine and food left to be found in the countless number of un-studied plants.

Do you think botany is a respected biological science? I think it is, but it's often overlooked as people like furry animals. I am a plant biologist, so I am a little biased, but plants are some of the most important organisms on earth- they feed us, shelter us and look nice... not saying that animals aren't important ( but most mammals aren't), just saying that plants are cooler...
