| How hard is it to get a grant for a research project in a chosen field of zoology or
botany in a jungle? ....Or in arctic climate or anything for that matter. I'm thinking about studying zoology or botany in University. (Trinity college, Ireland) There is no doubt that this is what I want to do. I feel very inclined to science in general. I have a big hobby of photography, where all I want to do is take pictures of scenery and animals, or plants for that fact. But I was just wondering, how reluctant are governments in giving grants to these projects? For me, I haven't even heard of a research project carried out by any Irish, yet ireland always highlights its role in science, that is, its increasing number of science graduates, and emphasis of science education. I believe I would be very good in this area of work, as I love the outdoors, taking account of all types of climates, and love the sense of newness and adventure. I say there are so many like me. Could someone give me a little advice on this area. |
