novicecrafter0608 has a spectacular aura about
Botany...expected salary, types of jobs, and overall satisfaction?

I have been trying to narrow down my interests and really focus. It's time (if not a little past) I really started to work towards a goal and find some sort of career. I would love to know what people have done with a degree in botany and if they enjoy what they do. It seems like going into this field would open up a lot of interesting options and opportunities. I have the heart of a scientist but I'm not sure if I have the "mind" for it. I have an unending supply of curiosity and a desire to study for a lifetime. Unfortunately I have never been great in math or in subjects that require lots of memorization. I think with enough effort and time I could become adequate in but I will never be talented in those areas. I just want to add to the collective knowledge in science even if I never manage to become a spectacular scientist.

I am curious about botany specifically because I have a lot of interests that are related to plants. I have no interest in making a career out of those "hobbies" but I think I could have a sustained interest in botany which would hopefully make an enjoyable lifelong project.
