What Are The Syptoms of Throat Cancer/Neck Cancer?

I'm 32 yr old female. While I know it is against odds, it is still possible for someone my age to develop these cancers. I cannot handle any horror stories so please don't share them. I'm hoping some professionals can help me out. I went to the doc last week with concern to this swollen tonsil that has been like that for 7 mths and a dull ache deep in the back of my tongue. She never mentioned cancer of any sort and said she would suspect a virus... but no signs of tonsilitus or strep. She said to check back with her if it got any worse. I go to my DDS regularly who has also given me oral cancer check up... but I don't know if that includes throat cancer. I'm really worried... and as soon as I can afford it I am getting blood tests. So, what are the symptoms of throat or neck cancer?
