Why do people give me crap about being a cancer?

i love being a cancer, i am who i am but people dont get me and my homebody ways.I enjoy the safety of home without being a hermit.I love to have house parties and girl's night in and out.but a majority of people have given me crap about it and it has taken away the joy of being my cancer self.just because their version of fun differs from mine, im made out to be a hermit crab.

Well you know it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. As a Cancer, you are going to be more hurt by what people say than most others-just know that about yourself. THEY don't seem to know that and by them giving you crap, they probably don't realize it really hurts you-again why you should focus on just pleasing yourself. Because all you really have in the end is yourself anyway.

You mean your astrological sign? It's because you are emotional and they tend to have the stereotype of being drama queens/kings. Who cares if someone dislikes you because of that. They are not worth your attention if they base who they like on some ancient mythological thought that probably does not exist.

Well, people will try to give you a hard time, off and on most of your life. Learn to not let it bother you. Instead, turn the tables on them: At least consider the source, why are THEY saying what they are to you? Why does what you do bother them? Sometimes such comments are an attempt to manipulate you (to get you to do what they want or think you should do).
I often admire Cancers. They can be among the strongest signs of the Zodiac (both physically and emotionally). Emotional, yes? Often creative and gifted at some particular art (violin playing, painting, dancing, etc.).
As long as what you are doing doesn't hurt anyone and is basically positive, go for it! Enjoy! People can be such meddlers. They need to shape up themselves, usually.
