Do you find Cancer's to be forgiving?

As a Cancer, I can tell you that I may forgive on the surface, but deep down in my heart of hearts, I don't. Not only do I not completely forgive, I never forget---and once I have been slighted, there is a trust that is broken and may never come back. I can't stand all of this "Cancer's are clingy and willing to forgive anyone because their relationships are the only things that matter" talk, because frankly, it isn't true. We do have a sense of pride about us. We love unconditionally, and when that is betrayed or taken for granted---we don't readily or easily forgive---if we can find it within to forgive at all. If we say "you're forgiven", it is usually to let YOU off the hook, not ourselves. I know the psycho babble tells us that forgiveness isn't about the offender, it is about the one offended, but with us---it's not true. We'll let you think you're off the hook, but in reality, everythng we trusted and thought to be true about you is gone and we're starting from scratch.
Are there other Cancer's out there that feel as I do on the subject? Anyone experience this with a Cancer?

I, too, am a Cancerian and I have held grudges for a long long time. It's just who we are. We can't change that fact. If we try to change, we feel so damn uncomfortable. People trust me with their most intimate details and I have yet told anyone else about their lives. Just be yourself and don't let anybody change you. You are a good person.

I am a true Cancer. I've held grudges for long periods of time. Once even about 10 years. Cancers tend to live in the past. Cancers are also hyper-sensitive to a fault. They have an outer shell but super soft are inside. But I think that's why you say that you never forget. Too sensitive.

I'm trying to let go of my cancerian ways. Trying to be more present. It's a very slow process.

VERRRY TRUE!Me being a cancer myself with a scorpio ascendant and mars in taurus..i NEVER forget,there maybe rare acassiona i may forgive,but never ever forget.I have a photograph memory.It 's a good thing and soemtimes its a bad thing.Because if i have a memory thats bad,i'll "feel" EXACTLY like i did back then.They say us cancers whip a dead whorse even if its 30 yrs latter,yes we just might but we know not to look others faults and move on like other ppl do,that get burned AGIAN by that same person.We're smart enough not too!!!!

My mom is a Cancer and has said many times that she can hold a grudge like no other. However, when she's hurt me in the past she never apologizes. She more or less just tries to cover her own @ss by making excuses but she expects a prompt apology when someone wrongs her. I'm not sure whether that's a Cancer trait or not because my stepsister is a Cancer and is completely the opposite way. She's very quick to apologize if she hurts someone's feelings and her sensitivity isn't just one-sided.
