A question to all you believers - How do you believe in a loving God in today's World?

Greetings folks,I've been trying to get in touch with my spiritual side for awhile. I'm a baptized Catholic but in these past few years I've been leaning towards the boundary between agnosticism and atheism. The majority of Christians believe in a just and loving god, and here's my question, how is this possible? When the majority of the world lives in poverty, when the evils of humanity are much more evident than goodness, when genocide is occurring in Africa, when thousands of men, women, and children are dying from cancer. Why does your "loving" God allows this to happen, why not empower another savior to save us all from this hellish existence. Does it even exist, because I've never felt blessed or in touch with it.Please, no quotes from the Bible, just tell me your opinion on the matter.@ Dank.Mind giving a few examples? I think the answer is 'rationalisation'. That's what you do when you want to believe something which makes no sense at all.

man can make a choice. and he has in many cases. I have seen god's hand in many incidents in my life.One example is a few years back when me and my brother where living at home, he threatened to put a bullet in his headso my dad took all hi bullets out of the house ( he's in the army, has a lot of guns)Well two years ago, my dad started this affair with a crazy russian b*tch, she got jealous that my dad went to go see my mom ( my mom didn't know yet) and this woman trashed my house and had an A.K. pointed at me and my mom in our family photo. Psychiatrists said she would have killed me ( I was sleeping while she did this) but she couldn't find the bullets...Around the same time, I was in a bad place with bad influences ( drugs) And I wanted to get out. I prayed every day. and when my mom did find out about the affair ( I told her) she left my dad and moved to Detroit, she offered me to go with her, and I did. After I left everything back home went to hell in a hand basket. Thatnk GOD I was away from there.Well 6 months later I moved back home, and cut off all contact with the "bad influences" I had to take care of some debt. And I did. My mom said she kept wondering what the whole Detroit thing was about. She didn't understand why fate would bring me out there just to bring me back home. Then I told her what had happened, and she understood. People can say what they want, But I prayed for a way out, and strenghth, and I got it. It wasn't easy. But it would have been harder If i didn't have my faith.

How can you not believe in todays world?All the meists can offer today is good luck or best wishes. Nothing more, everything less. No solutions, no hope only more despair.Faith gives you hope. Look at what God is doing , not what he is not doing.EDIT - Everything bad is man made or exacerbated my man. Take a look at "Finger of God" DVD. Watch the Lakeland revival. Listen to Bill Johnson or Randy Clark. So much good going on, just look for it.Blessings!

God loved us enough to warn us it would get bad near the endand everything he said has come tru on that matter....on judgement day all things will be made right...a promiseof his love.

Look at whats happened in the world previously. How could you even believe there is a god when such inhumane stuff has occurred?

whats wrong with today's world? its much better than our violent past.Edit: Ehm, per capita, all those things you mentioned are way way down.... go back in time (especially dark ages) have a look around, and let me know what u think!

I believe in a loving and just God because, my friend, the world and the people that are in it are the beings that change.......Jesus Christ is the same today, yesterday, and forever...........God Bless................

HIS KINGDOM ISNT YET HERE....OBVIOUSLY BAPTISM HASNT HELPED YOU....REPENTANCE IS NEEDED AND THEN YOU CAN HAVE HIS SPIRIT.. More repent each day so He is taking His time....He looks more to the future..
