never smoked inmy life? and have recently found out I have bladder cancer. I have very high epithial cells in my urine not due to any infection as I have been checked but becasue of the white cells growing because of cancer. I did have blood in my urine for 12 months seen and unseen of and on. I hardly have blood in my urine now but the constant white cell grwoth shows up 100% of the time. I did have a cytoscopy done about 3 weeks ago and a CT IPV done last wednesday. I had a phone call from the hospital 2 days ago and well you know the rest.I go in next week to see how far it has spread, as I have a huge lump inmy right leg the size of a golf ball and is hard and painfull at times. I have one in my right groin too not quite as big as the leg. So what I want to know is where else can these tumours go in the body, and is chemo 100% reliable here.The doctors all put this down to UTs of infection last year as the blood in the urine made them think it was just infection, and no antiboitics were working at all. so
I kept going back to the doctors for urine samples and most of the time it would say no infection and blood, qand it was even sent to the labs for investigation and it would always come back with blood anywhere from ++-++++ the maximum amount of blood in the urine and said no growth. So it was only end of last year the doctor faxed over all my urine results to the uroligy clinic, and I feel I have left things too late, but not my fault as I did go down as the first sign of a syptom of blood inthe urine and as I said they thought it could be infections and it was not. Anway I want to know is it these growing white cells that are causing me to have tumours in my body?

i don't know anything about cancer but i know about compassion. how awful for you at this time. have yo got friends and family yo can get support from? you need to talk with someone trained in this field asking something so important on here is a mistake as you will get all sorts of wacky answers. i can feel from how you rite how devastated you are It really comes across. don't rely on answers on here go and see a specialist. i hope things work out for you i really do. try keep positive . good luck with the future. xxxxxxxx
