Abnormal pap smear and cervical cancer...?

Last May I had a Pap Smear come back with Abnormal Squamous Cells of Undetermined Significance and positive for high-risk HPV. I was devistated. In July, I followed up with a colposcopy which yielded nothing alarming. I just did my repeat 6-month pap earlier this month. The results came back with low-grade changes. I understand that this is worse than ASCUS. So things are getting worse and not better. The nurse said not to be alarmed because things could still clear up if given time and that this was normal. She said I only needed to repeat the pap in 6 months and not to repeat the colposcopy yet. Should I be worried and get a second opinion or demand a colposcopy. Or should I just relax and wait. I guess I am just freaked out because I don't want cervical cancer. What are the odds that this clears up versus develops into cancer? Any advice would be appreciated.
