Cancer odor in horse?

We have a horse undergoing treatment for cancer. The vet said not to worry about the odor caused by him at this time because he is being treated and getting better. My concern is we are having to move to a area with more natural preditors and worried the smell with bring them around. Right now its not a problem even with stray dogs running around free from time to time and even when we move he will be near the house.
We wash him daily and medicate him. Is there something safe to help block the smell while he heals?

Ask your vet. I doubt there's any way to block the odor, but maybe your vet knows something that will help at least a little bit.

You could get some guardian dogs... like a pair of Great Pyrenees, or an Akbash, or Kuvasz to run off predators. These dogs are bred to guard livestock. The Akbash and Kuvasz are more aggressive and attack intruders more quickly than the pyr, which is why I have pyrs. They do pre-emptive barking to scare off predators without having to fight them.
