Christina Applegate's recent breast cancer dianosis at age 36:.. Mammogram ?

With the recent report of actress Christina Applegates breast cancer diagnosis at age 36. I have a couple of Q's about Mammograms, since I haven't had one done yet, I'm only 34.
Does having a mammogram hurt...does size of breast matter if it hurts or not, like would a mammogram hurt if you're a B cup or a D cup ??
How long is the mammogram ?
Do you think it would be goofy or paranoid of me to request to have a mammogram done at my age of 34 ??
