Are you afraid of getting cancer? Many people are petrified of getting cancer, they fear it more than death. They see it as a long drawn out battle they can't win. Do you fear getting cancer and the long battle and loss of indpenednce that might come from it?

I used to be scared to death of cancer. In my mind cancer meant death. About a year and a half ago though my wife was diagnosed with colon cancer and I totally lost it. Thanks to great doctors and treatments, she is totally cancer free so my perception has changed a lot. I guess now I am not so much afraid of it as I respect it and don't do things that could potentially lead to cancer, but if I did get it, I feel there is now a good chance I would be okay.

I personally don't worry about those kinds if thing that much. Its in the back or your mind, that it would be horrible. But the good lord is gonna take you when he wants, for whatever reason. You can't worry about how.

I certainly would not want to get cancer, but I can't say that I am afraid of it. If it happens, so be it. On the postive side, than say dieing in an accident, you have some time to put closure to your life and do some things that you have put off. That is, before cancer takes its toll, but at least you have an idea when you're going to die, even if it's not the best way.

Well, I am nervous about it. Thats mostly because my mother has terminal breast cancer. I really hope it never happens to me because i wouldn't want to watch my kids go through what i am going through right now. ( i don't have kids yet, I am just saying, since I intend to have a family). Its so hard watching your mom battle cancer every day and have no idea how much longer you will have with her. I am getting married next year and I don't even know if my mom will be there. I really hope so though, and I hope she is still alive when I have my first child; she will be such a wonderful grandma, I want her to get to experiance that before she has to go to heaven.

I think about getting cancer, but only because my mom has it. I find myself wondering how I would handle it. Would I be strong or would I try to hide. It is a very scary thought. There is so much cancer out there. I then keep thinking that I need to live each day to the fullest and not ponder on what could be but what is right now. I think that more people should feel the same way. I feel that the good lord will do whatever he feels is right. I am just along for the ride. Hope this helps you.
