Blood tests for cancer?

I've been having a lot of wierd symptoms lately (pain, weight loss, nausea....) and they have been around for about a month. The doctors did blood tests three times and it has never shown anything abnormal in my blood counts or electrolyte levels. My question is if I had some type of cancer, would something in my blood tests have raised a warning flag for the doctors that further testing was needed? How long does it take for warning signs of cancer to show up in the blood...like for example..I had my symtpoms for 3 weeks when they did a test..would it have shown up by then?? I am just really scared because no one has been able to figure this stuff out and it is beginning to really impact my life.
