How many years does it has to be in order for a person to be considered

as cancer free? Also, can a person develope cancer so many times before they finally die from it? I ask this question because their is a lady in my church who has had cancer 5 times and has had five different cancers and she is still alive and very healthy.

Normally, to be in remission one must remain cancer free for 5 yrs.

Not sure about the other question. I would guess that there is no hard and fast answer. As long as the person continues to respond to treatment they should be fine. I would also imagine that the lady at church is suffering from some long term issues due to all of the various treatments she has had. Those may be a bigger factor in her overall health.
