For those of you who had Pre-Cancer cells scraped off cervix? ...did you have problems getting pregnant b/c of it? I have been TTC for 6 months with no luck. We are in the beginning of our 7th month. I had this done in August 2006 and have had no problems with them coming since then. It was a very small area and I had been seeing my doc every 6 months since then but he just released me back to my regular yearly pap in December. He said back then that the procedure would not mess up any chances of me getting pregnant in the future. Just wanted to know if any of you ladies had any problems with getting pregnant b/c of this. More FYI, I have been off of BC since August, been trying since Sept. I have done everything from charting my temps, to using OPKs, to using a fertility monitor...and due to the stress that all that causes my hubby and I have decided to not use or do any of those things and just wing it for the next 6 months until we reach the year mark. Seems like everyone gets pregnant when they don't try so we'll see if it works for me!

I come from a family which is very fertile, and yet my husband and I, newly married and enjoying a full sex life didn't manage to conceive for almost a year. We got really worried about it. After I had John, I then went on to have three more children without any problems. It may just be one of those weird things which cannot be explained. ps - I used to do things like lie on my back and cycle in the air, hoping the sperm would be assisted towards the fallopian tubes - it's amazing what you do when you want to get pregnant. Best wishes, hope everything pans out for you.

I went through the procedure of having my cervix froze, and then they scraped my cervix as well. Well, I got pregnant about 6 months after that. So you should still be able to get pregnant. I think you and your husband just wingin' it is a great idea. If all that monitoring is stressing you out, more that it is helping then it would be better to just wing it. The stress can keep you from getting pregnant as well. My brother and his wife went through the same thing, and when they just gave up they ended up pregnant. Another piece of information, sometimes it take some women and entire year before they are able to get pregnant after coming off of birth control. It all depends on your body. Personally, when I come off of birth control it take 7 months for me to get pregnant. Don't stress about it, just let it happen. I hope that you are given that bundle of joy that you and your husband desire.
