| a doubt about some cancer symptoms? If someone has been diagnosed with colon cancer for 6 months now can he/she as a consequence have throat problems (with candida albicans etc) so that that can be confused for a symptom of HIV??? that is doctors suggested to that person to take an HIV test because of the throat problems, but can that be it exclusively or it has something to do with the cancer and its debilitating the immune system?? I hope I was clear enough, I confess I m very confused about this. thanks in advance!      |

| well having cancer lowers your white blood cell count and makes you more prone to infections. but hiv is so powerful that cancer or not unprotected sex, dirty needles, other echange of blood, etc can give it to you. i dont really think that having cancer outs you in a higher risk. those symptoms do not sound liek cancer. they do sound like hiv. but then again since you are more likely to develop infections if you ahve cancer i would not be suprised for those symptoms to not be hiv. but does cancer lead to hiv? no |

| its not exclusive to hiv......it could definately be because of the cancer and compromised immune system..... |
