I am 27 years old. My paternal mother had breast cancer at 70 years old. I have...

...noticed that every so often? my left breast and nipple gets tender, swollen and hurts to wear a bra or rub on a t-shirt. I was always told that this may occur if its around the time of my period. Well this just happened last weekend and my period had already ended 2 weeks before. I already made an appointment to see my ob-gyn but do you really think that this could be a form of breast cancer? The nipple was really hard and painful. The areola looked inflammed. The breast was just swollen. The right breast as well but not as much.
I dont know if its related but for the last month or two, I have had a hard time catching my breath especially while speaking. Again i am only 27 years old and 125 lbs. Healthy and excerise.
