Is liver cancer a death sentence?

A dear friend of ours is battling cancer. She has had it in 3 other locations, and has recovered from that, but now she hassome cancer in her liver, all of this has happened within 1 year.

I'm very sorry for your mil but liver cancer is pretty bad.My dad had pancreatic cancer and the docs said that we could save him only if the cancer doesnt spread to the liver.....I wish you all the best coz you will have to take care of your spouse after your mil.

i survived liver cancer . one lobe of my liver was removed 2 years ago , i feel fine had a checkup last week. everything okay !

Most people here answering for FUN, there is no way to tell about how long she/he will live. Best thing is to be with him/her and let the doctors do there work

Unfortuatly she will die. Has she give her heart to Jesus? Is she a christian. If you are please share to gospel with her if she is not saved

If it's a secondary and not the primary tumour, then the odds are a bit bleak I'm afraid. It means the cancer has spread you see. I'm so sorry. My aunt had ovarian cancer which spread to her liver and she didn't survive. Be there for your friend as much as you can - she's going to need you.

if the cancer has penetrated into the liver and is not just ON the liver, then yes it is. I am sorry. The only treatment for cancer IN the liver is a liver transplant and if the cancer has metasticized from other places then the person is not a candidate for transplant.

I am sorry. I went through this with both of my parents.

well if she is getting it in in other places then its in her body and there really isnt a chance of living im so sorry =( she has probably one to two years living and im right cause my dads an docter and he has to go through this kinda thing like everyday!
