It's hereditary often, but also happens spontaneously without warning in any women quite often. A recent study has shown that women can have a higher disposition for it even if it was on their fathers side. Yes, there are things that you can do to help prevent it, but nothing really guarantees that you will be immune from it. *Eat lots of tomatoes. I am not kidding... tomatoes are full of antioxidants that help keep cancer away. *Stay away from "the pill" (Birth control). Nothing has been proven yet, but there is a lot of speculation that this could raise your chances of getting cancer. * Eat and live healthy * Avoid cigarettes and alcohol * Get plenty of sleep. * Keep your life as stress free as possible. * Lastly, if you are pre-disposed to cancer, and have a REALLY high percentage of deaths in your family to breast cancer, you might want to consider getting a double mastectomy. Yes, it's a bit extreme, but you can't fight with numbers. |
