How do you prepare for a career in derivatives?

At the moment, I'm working in Investment Accounting. I do operations work (mostly accounting for bonds, stocks, etc). However, my boss wants me to work with the derivatives team as well. I'll be training for derivatives operations soon. I'm a little nervous since I don't really know much about it and I've heard it's quite complex.

I've taken international finance while I was in college which covered derivatives briefly. What's a good way to prepare for this? What kind of math is invovled with derivatives operations? Any help woudl be appreciated.

You need to have some understanding of the Black-Scholes mathematical model of Options pricing. Here is some information about it:
