For example, undercover, k9 unit, drug squad, Australian Interpol etc. I am 23 yrs old and hold a ridiculous amount of life experiance and have diffused more situations with very real situations that could have resulted in violent actions to have taken place. You either know good from bad or you dont i believe, and i know of only good, though havnt gien serious thought into joining the force. My question is, how would one become a member of interpol, undercover, etc or do all of these divisions stem from once being a normal cop and therefore being promoted overtime? How would i go about getting into a position close to being an undercover detective?

Your best bet is to contact your local Agency or Agencies and ask to talk to a recruiter. They will be able to give you exact details and much better information that most anyone here can.
