Please help! Career advice from people who are working currently.?

I am really confused. Right now I am enrolled in a program that sucks! Its accounting and I am not interested in it. I just graduated from high school last year in june and went straight to university but now I think I made a big mistake. I dont do my homework, avoid studying and miss classes. I was pretty dedicated last semester but this semester I dont feel like doing anything. I got like a B- last semster even after working quite hard.
Right now I am just slacking off. Its not that I am partying hard or doing all the bad stuff but I am not studying hard either, I am so scared of disappointing my parents and how they would react if I tell them that I dont want to do this. I have a complimentary course (sociology) that I really enjoy. I have always enjoyed studying society but I am sure this is not what my parents want from me. My parents have paid for my tuition fee and they want me to do a job which provides with good bucks i.e. accouting
