In specific, what is a career goal?

Alright, I have to write an essay for a summer program. The essay is supposed to tell them how their program can help me with my career goals. What is a career goal though? Is it what I want to be in the future(i.e. be a doctor, lawyer, accountant,etc) or is it more in specific; for i.e., I want to be a doctor at so & so hospital, getting paid this much, etc?

If you don't understand what I'm trying to say, can you just to me what you personally believe a career goal is. Thank you for your time. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
