wanna be a singer/actor has a spectacular aura about
I need some advice on my singing/acting career!?

I am 14 years old and I live in Aurora, Colorado. I have sang to many, many people and all of them have said that I am really good. I really really want to start my career now because I want to star in a lot of movies and be around for a long time doing what I love to do. I am going into high school next year and I am going to try out for the musicals and the choir. There is no community theater around and there are also limited auditions or none at all. I really want to get discovered and become famous because singing and acting is all that I want to do and I can't see myself doing anything else. Any help would be appreciated!

P.S. My Aunt lives in Long Island, New York and she says I could come live with her. I really want to and she said it's be ok but I don't think my mom would let me. I think it would be a really good opportunity for me and I think it'll give me a better chance of reaching my dream. Should I try talking my mom into it or what? She is really hard to convince.

NYC Director has a spectacular aura about
It's cool to have an opportunity to be able to go live near New York. Just please keep in mind, there are actually *less* opportunities for inexperienced kids in New York - not more opportunities ... there are less. However, there a tons of small theaters on Long Island. Never know if you don't try. Remember though - Learning how to "do the acting thing" in New York and how it works can be very intimidating, and people go to college to learn this stuff. People are not "discovered." That is largely a myth. Study, experience, and training are what get you places.
