...years in the car business? I am 33 years old and wanting to begin a new career as a police officer. I have spent the past 10 years selling cars, and I need some advice, or am i just crazy for trying to start my life over in my mid thirties

Well, physically and age wise 33 is a little old to begin police work, especially to go through the acadamy. But you could do it (I'm not sure about age requirements in your state)

Hopefully, your career as a car salesman has been an honest one....and you have never misrepresented a car. We have enough dishonest cops.

You're not "crazy", but you have some catch-up work to do. Get in very good shape physically, take some law enforcement courses at a junior college, and inquire at some local PD's. It used to be that just about anybody could get on a PD, but those days are long gone.
