1. Why do liquids exhibit surface tension?
2. A student is cooling a liquid to its freezing point and below. She records the temperature every minute. The readings in Celcius degrees are 169, 151, 140, 128, 118, 113, 113, 113, 113, 109, 100, 92, and 87. Explain the pattern of the temperature readings.
im studying about changes of state.

2. If you plot these readings vs time, the plateau indicates a freezing point. Some of the other features are complicated, so I won't go into them.
