Billy 2 has a spectacular aura about
impossible chemistry question?

I say impossible because I'm on my way to getting gray hairs because of this.

I'm supposed to find the molar absorbtion coefficient for [CrO4 2-]
So A=abc
Let's say in lab you use a spectrophotometer and find that your absorbance is 109 Mystery Units. this is A
b is either .01 m or 1 cm. this was given in class
c is the molar concentration, 2.4x10^-5

is 4.5 x10^6 the correct answer? It seems too huge.
please spare me the chiding remarks. I wasn't told what units the absorbtion is.

Although you should know that a number without units attached is meaningless, you say it is too huge. Is 10^10 a large distance? anybody with even a grade school education would ask 10 to the 10th WHAT? But hey, lets forget that units are vital.
