Would you be able to date someone without chemistry?

Would you be able to date someone if you kissed them and didnt feel that "spark?"?
I was with a girl last night who is very sweet, and I can talk to for hours, and when she kissed me good night I felt nothing. There as no spark, no physical chemistry in the kiss. It was bland. Could you date someone if you didnt feel that spark when you kissed?
