Who has taken the AP Chemistry Exam?

I am going to take it in May and I was wondering if someone could tell me about it. Are there a lot of equilibrium questions? What did you get on it? Any tips as to what may help me? Any books that may be helpful, like the Princeton Review, or something else? Thanks

I took the AP Chemistry Exam in High School... yes, equilibrium was one of the topics covered.

Your best recources are your professor and your text. Working problems is the best way to prepare, not doing rote memorization.

Remember: The questions are multiple choice, so always throw out the ridiculous answers when you are stuck, and then make an educated guess from the remaining options. Test taking skills are as important as the knowledge you have.

I would say your best study guide would be a Schwams (I think I spelled that right) review book in General College Chemistry (you will probably not have covered the entire text, just a portion of the chapters.)

Good Luck!

I took it in HS and got a 5. The best way to prep is by getting an AP Chem prep book from one of the companies like Princeton Review or Barron's. Just go through the practice tests and questions. They quiz you a little from everything. Equations, reactions, calculations of moles, conversions between things, basically the entire text book. I took like 7 AP exams and got 5s on most so I'm familiar with them. Taking practice exams, going over wrong answers, and doing more practice questions is best way to study, just use the text books as reference if you can't remember how to do a particular thing.
