| Chemistry: Flame tests for metals...? The energy of colored light increases in the order of red, yellow, green, blue, and violet. If I have sodium, potassium, calcium, barium, strontium and copper, would this be the correct order if placing them in increasing order of the energy of the light emitted:
strontium (red/crimson flame), calcium(red flame), sodium(yellow flame), barium(green flame), copper (blue/green flame) and potassium (lilac flame)
**which comes first strontium (crimson flame) or calcium (red flame) - is this order correct? |
