chemistry. sigma and pi bonds?

hey im having a bit of a problem with them. soo if its a single bond then its sigma, and if its a double bond its a pi right?
and say i had C2H2. then would it have 2 sigma and 1 pi bond? thanks for the help. best answer for best answer!
