Has anyone went through the Coast Guard's CSPI program?

Hey, I'm half-way through my Computer Informations Degree and I am interested in joining the Coast Guard to gain experience before looking for a job in the Civilian workforce. I'm interested in IT, IS, or OS. Has anyone went through the CSPI program? If so, is there a deadline to apply? I won't be able to see a recruiter until Friday since the closest one is about 4 hours away.
