...Department of Homeland Security? It sure seems like those civil liberties hating Democrats and big government loving Republicans never cease trying to defend the indefensible existence of the Department of Homeland Security. Who is running for president in this election who will pledge to immediately eliminate the department, or that failing, leave it without a department head or any funding?

Before spouting off you should make sure you know what you are talking about. The FBI and CIA are not in the Department of Homeland Security.

DHS consists of FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, Customs and Border Patrol, Immigration and Customer Enforcement, Secret Service, and a few other minor departments. Do you still want to eliminate all these agencies?

Only Ron Paul. Because he knows the 2nd Amendment IS Homeland Security. In fact, Homeland Security, Fema, and other agencies are just as corrupt, and only there to expand more federal laws, and rules. The other candidates don't have any proposal.

Why would you eliminate the Dept. of Homeland Security you idiot? You might as well dissolve the CIA, Pentagon and the FBI while you're at it as well as the military branches and leave us completely defensless. No shit dadvice. I'm making the point that eliminating the DOHS is stupid and is needed just as CIA, FBI and military. And by the way Coast Guard, military, you're thinking national guard. The Coast Guard works with them but they are not officially homeland security. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about, obviously, you don't.
