i got a low asvab test for the coast guards, what job can it get me?

The tattoo is nothing. Everybody has tats nowadays.

As for the ASVAB, prepare to swab the deck matey, as thats all your lowly ASVAB score has qualified you for. Arrr

Your overall ASVAB ( AFQT ) score,

Isn't a score, it is a percentage.

IE: if you made a 45,

Then that means you scored higher than 45% of the people who took the asvab test.

It has nothing at all to do, with what jobs you qualify for.

You need your 9 sub test scores to determine that.

the tattoo will not stop you i got 5 and in the army but i don't know about the asvab. no matter how low your score they will find you a job.

Your recruiter will have a list of jobs that you qualify for based on your test scores. Also, I think that the only branch that is really strict on tatoos is the Marines. I think as long as you can't see it in your dress uniform, you are fine.
