| My Bf is joining the Coast Guard,can we get married after bootcamp if I have 3 children? You can't join the Coast Guard with more than 2 dependents, thats why were not getting married now. So will getting married after effect anything? Will his pay be different if he goes in as an officer?      |

| sure..just be aware that his pay will NOT change, and he will only get BAH at the With Dependent rate and may not be enough to cover housing for such a large family. Unless you also work full time, financially it will not be a very easy thing. |

| you can get married after. me and my hubby married after he got out of basic. it just gave him a little more pay. |
