Join Coast Guard Go to Iraq?

I have a friend in marines who went to Iraq. While I was asking him questions about Coast Guard he told me that if I joined Coast Guard I would most likely go to Iraq True or not?

True.The Coast Guard is in charge of port security in Iraq.

Coast Guard is like Border Patrol. They stay at home.

The last time I looked they had about four hundred personnel deployed to Iraq and that was last year. Some, but not all are volunteers wanting to deploy for the increased, tax free income that they receive while being deployed.
