Joining the coast guard with a dwi?

Can i join the coast guard with a dwi conviction? im 23, in ok physical strength. any info would be great..thank you.

I have to disagree with the above poster. The CG is the LEAST likely service branch to offer a waiver to join (which would be required for any criminal background). AF is next least likely, then Navy, then Marines then Army.

If you dealt with it, paid your fine or restitution, etc there would not be any reason not to let you in. Why don't you ask the recuriter...
