I believe only if you have orders to go to the Philippines and go on a military transport. Other than that you will need a US passport.

No. you still need to have your passport and apply for a tourist visa. visit your soon to be wife.. you can get married in the philippines, a civil wedding can do good. it can change your status legally. but if you have plans of taking her in the U.S., then it will be easier for her as well because you married her.
