| Time off after a tour of duty in the Coast Guard?
After a tour of duty, either a 1, 2, 3, or 6 month tour with the Coast Guard, do you get any time off not including your 4 week vacation time? An example would be if you went on a tour for three months away from port, would you get a week or a more time off after you return - while not using your vacation time? Any comments would be greatly appreaciated.

it depends on your rank and how many credentials you have. For instance the basic Coast Guard does not. They HAVE to use their vacation time. But if you been locked in for a year or so, they are allowed to talk to their superior officer and get some slack.
