| Does the Coast guard get to use an M16 and learn Hand to hand combat? Do people in the Coast Guard use an m16 or m1, and do they learn extensive hand to hand combat like other armed forces?      |

| Yes they do...the coast guard goes through the same training as all armed forces but each has there own special skills added |

| yes and they also have an pre-training thing where you run more and do the excersizes and learn about m-16s before the others who skipped it and went to basic combat training. plus you also have to run a lot and everywhere. and i dont know if they do learn hand to hand combat. |
