Marine Corp Workout?

I am going to work out with the Marine Corps, they have something called a pull out or put out or something every week at the local recruiting office, and they suggested I do it since I am going to enlist on the late start, and it's good to do it to prepare for boot camp. How in shape should I be?

Haven't timed my mile in a while, but I'd guess a 10 minute mile, 75 crunches in 2 minutes, and I can do 10 pull ups.

your pullups are good, great crunches, try to get your mile down to at least 8 mins.

pushups? 50 in 2 min is good.

You are good on your pull ups and crunches, but before you leave for Boot Camp you need to be able to run 3 miles at 8 minute per mile pace without being too winded. Being able to do this will save you a lot of getting yelled at for falling out of a run.

It is the DEP (Delayed Entry Program) not the late start program

You should also learn a few things before you leave for bootcamp too like learn the rank structures and learn your general orders before you leave it will help you out a lot to have this learned word for word before you get there. They will tech you in bootcamp but it is always good to be ahead of the rest of the people. It could get you a spot as guide or squad leader.

after boot camp you'll be way more fit. i think my BF ran a 3 mile in 26 minutes b4 and now he runs it in 18....every little bit will help you though the more in shape you are b4 the better off you'll be
