| coast guard?
tell me what life is like being active duty. i am 18 yrs old and considering joining the coast guard. im scared ill lose my freedom of parties, girls, surfing, beaches.... however im not slacker and will be eager to complete any coast guard tasks. but whats the real life like?? do you guys go out on the weekends? is it fun? tell me anything, that would be awesome

CG is a good choice. Why do you want to join? Depends on what you do in the CG. There's tons of communities in the CG. Search and rescue of course work on the weekends. As a CG, you'll be a Federal Law Enforcement Officer, stay clear of drugs, DUIs and such.
